OBJECTIVE

This one day course is designed to introduce delegates to the identification of manual handling hazards, risk reduction measures and manual handling management. The practical session enables delegates to carry out varies manual tasks.

• Cost associated with manual handling injuries

• Manual Handling Assessment

• Basic anatomy and physiology

• Injuries commonly causes by manual handling

• Practical Session with principles of safe lifting

 

DURATION

The Manual Handling theory and practical assessment course is a one day course.

 

LOCATION

Heritage Fire and Safety offer ‘open’ courses utilising the excellent facilities available at @BalmoralHUB, Balmoral Business Park, Aberdeen, AB12 3GJ. These courses take place on the first Thursday of each month, 0900 -1600.

 

Alternatively, courses can be held at clients premises, details can be provided on request.

 

CERTIFICATION

An in-house training provider certificate will be issued on successful completion of Manual Handling training. Each delegate will be provided with a certificate detailing the subjects covered on the course. In addition, a group certificate will be issued to the company listing all attendees. 

 

The assessment process for this course will be a mix of practical application evidenced by observational checklists and a closed book short response question paper
